C851 Bottom Cover Replacement
Replacing the bottom cover is a common repair for units that have suffered from heavy drops, cracked casing, or missing rubber feet. Because this panel protects the entirely fanless internal cooling system, maintaining a sealed and secure fit is vital for preventing overheating and debris buildup.
This model typically uses 12 Phillips #0 screws to secure the base. Note that some screws may be hidden under the rear rubber grips to provide a seamless, tamper-resistant finish.
Before removal, ensure the microSD card is ejected from its slot. Leaving a card inserted while prying off the cover can snap the card or damage the internal reader.
